Project: bioFLOW Ultrafiltration (UF) MBR process for a Liquid & Dry Sweetener Manufacturer

Industry: Food & Beverage Facility

  • Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) Removal
  • Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Removal
  • Water Reuse

Application Parameters:

Sweeteners Design Criteria Table.jpg

Problem: The Sweeteners Plus Facility was experiencing high concentrations of soluble BOD and needed a robust wastewater treatment system to acheive compliance with the local municipality and water reuse for truck washing.

Solution: bioprocessH2O supplied a bioFLOW UF (Ultrafiltration) Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) wastewater recycling system sized and designed for the treatment of the facilities process water. A filtered water storage tank was provided to collect the UF permeate from the bioFLOW MBR System for water reuse or overflow to the municipal sewer.

Status/Results: The bioFLOW UF MBR System effectively reduces the BOD and TSS levels down to regulatory standards and effluent requirements for water reuse and/or discharge to the sewer drain.
