Quality requirements for potable water has become more stringent based on the LT2 IESWTR requirements.  To ensure the removal of viruses and chlorine resistant viruses, such as Cyptosporidium and Giardia, membrane filtration has proven to be the best available technology because of the absolute barrier that the membrane provides.

BioprocessH₂O offers bioTRIPURE^TM Hollow Fiber Ultrafiltration (UF) Membrane System for potable water applications.  The system utilizes a 0.03 micron nominal pore size membrane module manufactured by X-Flow.  The X-Flow true UF membrane is capable of achieving 6-log bacteria, Cyptosporidium and Giardia as well 4-log virus removal.
